Will Maharshi Reach At Least That Mark?
Super Star Mahesh Babu’s silver jubilee film Maharshi has entered into fourth week. However, the Vamshi Paidipally directorial is yet to reach breakeven mark in few centers and one amongst them is USA, a strong forte of Mahesh Babu who has numerous million dollar grossing films in the territory.
Given that, the film was released in record number of theaters in USA with heavy premiere shows, trade pundits predicted, Maharshi would easily gross around $2 Million mark through premiere show collections itself.
But, the fact is Maharshi is yet to reach the $2 Million mark in its three weeks run in the territory. It seems the film may not enter the 2 million dollar mark, owing to below par numbers it is registering from last few days.
So Far, Maharshi has grossed $1.877 Million in USA. The film actually needed to collect over $ 3.5 Million to become a safe venture for overseas distributor. However, it seems, the overseas distributor will incur huge losses due to the film’s poor performance in the region.
On the other hand, Maharshi has slowed down completely in Telugu states and other areas as well. Although, the makers are coming up with “Epic Blockbuster” posters with record collections, the reality is completely different from it.

Rajamouli Presses RRR Accelerator
Ace director SS Rajamouli's multi starrer RRR with Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger NTR hit a road block when the film's schedule got stopped indefinitely after the two stars suffered injuries while enacting high voltage action scenes during the shooting.
Rajamouli already announced the film's release date and now with more than one month shooting stopped, all his grand plans went awry. Rajamouli recently started RRR regular shoot and now inside talk is he is reinventing his plans and is keen to press RRR accelerator taking it to the fourth gear.
Rajamouli passed a diktat asking everyone to plan the schedule in such a way that they make up for the lost call sheets and wrap up the shooting by this year end. Sources reveal Rajamouli is planning to start the VFX work simultaneously along with the regular shoot.
RRR features Nithya Menon, Anushka, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in important roles. Speculation is on that Prabhas will also do a cameo role in the film.

KTR Promoting This Biopic!
Trailer of Mallesham, a biopic on the weaver turned engineer from Telangana, was released yesterday to overwhelming response. Actor Priyadarshi, who is playing the titular character in the movie, looks promising in the role of the Padma Shri winner who won laurels after his invention of the Asu machine which is used in weaving.
It seems like, TRS Working President KTR who is promoting handlooms in Telangana is awed with Mallesham trailer. “Watch the trailer of @MalleshamMovie - a biopic based on the inspiring journey of a rural innovator Chintakindi Mallesham from Telangana. He was awarded Padma Shri in 2017 for inventing Asu machine. Best wishes to the entire movie crew.”
Madhura Sridhar, one of the producers of the film, thanked KTR saying, “Thank you so much sir!. Sir! You have been flag bearer for good cinema! And #Mallesham will make you proud sir!”
It is known that, the movie traces the journey of Mallesham, a sixth grade drop-out who turned into an engineer and inventor after seeing his mother toiling to weave the traditional Pochampally sarees.

Telanganites Rapid Rise In Tollywood
During the Telangana movement in United Andhra Pradesh, many protesters accused people from Andhra snatching their opportunities. Almost all the industries faced such allegations and Tollywood was no different.
Whether those allegations were false or real, after the formation of a separate state of Telangana, Telanganites are making rapid rise in Tollywood. They started showcasing their talent in almost all the 24 crafts of filmmaking. Even many films with Telangana accent started coming and stealing the hearts of movie lovers.
Tharun Bhascker's Pelli Choopulu set the trend, as it went on to win the National award. The film also gave immense recognition to Vijay Devarakonda and Priyadarshi. Sekhar Kammula's Fidaa floored all with Sai Pallavi stealing hearts with her Telangana accent.
Suresh Babu, analyzing the trend said, “When the film industry was in Madras, people from Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema used to come there. But when the industry started shifting to Hyderabad, many local people were hired. We are seeing the results now. While there were a few popular people at that time, this new generation has produced many more successes. Now, one can hardly see a Tamil director. It’s predominantly local talent hailing from Telangana. Of course, having a separate Telangana state marginally helps local people to enter the industry.”
Tammareddy Bharadwaj concurs with him saying, “The separate Telangana state definitely acts as an advantage for local talent. Also, with two to three films having a Telangana backdrop becoming huge successes, many filmmakers started making films on similar lines.”
He pointed out that of late many top stars like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Nagarjuna started talking in Telangana accent. Suresh Babu revealed, “It is quite natural that when an artiste belongs to a particular place, he speaks their language. Popular yesteryear actor Ramana Reddy used to speak the Nellore slang because he was from there. Likewise, today, many of the artistes speak their local language in films. The slang and accent is no longer forced.”
Madhura Sreedhar Reddy sharing his views said, “After Pelli Choopulu became a huge success, many writers started writing in their own dialect. Also, it gave filmmakers courage to make films with a local backdrop. Though having a separate Telangana state helps to bring in more local talent, people from other parts are also enjoying the dialect of the state.”
Tollywood is all set to witness many more films with Telangana backdrop such as Falaknuma Das, Dorasani and Mallesam. N Shankar however differs saying, “It’s not a sudden rise as many of them have worked in the industry earlier. I don’t think the separate Telangana state has helped local talent to rise.”

Rakul Says They Are Media Creation
Tamil Star Suriya is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his upcoming entertainer NGK (Nanda Gopala Kumara) hitting the screens this week in a grand manner. The film directed by Selva Raghavan features Suriya romancing Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. Movie lovers are getting excited to watch the film as the trailers generated interest among them.
In the meantime rumors are spreading that Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh had differences and cat fights in the sets of NGK. It is known that Sai Pallavi played the role of Suriya's wife Mythili while Rakul Preet Singh played the role of Vanathi.

The shocking defeat of Power Star Pawan Kalyan, chief of Janasena, left all his fans, supporters, Janasainiks and Mega Family members in stoic silence. All of them are unable to come to the stark reality.
Pawan Kalyan is ruing the loss and heard commenting to his close aides as to what went wrong in the elections. He is conducting review meetings in which he was said to be asking what went wrong. Many told him that people perceived Janasena covertly supporting Chandra Babu Naidu's TDP and that was the reason they voted against Janasena.
Under these circumstances, maverick director Ram Gopal Varma, analyzing Pawan Kalyan's defeat and also his future plans, came with a shocker. He said Pawan is incompetent and cannot lead the party.
Elaborating further, Ram Gopal Varma said, “I can't say what Pawan Kalyan should do or would do...I can only say my opinion. Personally, I feel Pawan Kalyan is a very genuine person, extremely honest person. He really wants to do something to the people.
Pawan could be a very good dictator as he is very instinctive. Most of his decisions can be right and few might be wrong. But, I doubt whether he would fit in a structured/organizational kind of politics due his character, personality and belief system.”
Drawing parallels he said, "Once Amitabh Bachchan told me that one day he realized he isn't made for politics. Of course, there is a lot of difference between Pawan and Big B, personalities wise. Amitabh forayed into politics due to compulsion from Gandhi Family. Whereas, Pawan Kalyan has stepped into politics genuinely."
However RGV wondered "But, I doubt whether he will be able to create a party with organization all by himself.”

The film’s trailer released just a while ago tells the fall and rise of a young guy Mallesham who invented Asu Machine that reduces the time taken to weave a Pochampally Ikat sari from about six hours to an hour and a half.
Initial episodes of Mallesham trailer show the protagonist’s love for Telugu films. It also has a beautiful love story between the lead pair, followed by Mallesham’s struggles to make Asu Machine.
Mallesham is all about how a Pochampally weaver’s son Mallesham, 6th grade dropout to an engineer, who invented a machine to make life easier for his mother and won a Padma Shri in the process. Dialogues are thought-provoking and background score is captivating.
All in all, Mallesham trailer is intriguing and inspiring. Director Raj R might have done great research, before taking up this project. Seems like, this is going to amaze Telugu audience to the core. The film is slated for release on June 21st.

One cannot speculate when actually will Super Star Rajinikanth enter into full fledged politics. But, he is surprising all making deft moves about his films. He often disappointed fans by going back on his entry into politics. When many expected him to contest the recently held lok sabha elections, he sprang a surprise going back at the last moment. He however promised to contest the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu the next year.

Suriya Has No Issues To Do Yatra 2, But
Tamil actor Suriya is currently in Hyderabad to promote his upcoming flick NGK (Nanda Gopala Krishna) which celebrated its pre-release event the other day. Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh are female leads in the political thriller directed by Sri Raghava. The film is slated for release in couple of days.
Suriya says that he’s a great fan of Sri Raghava and he waited nearly 19 years to work with him. “Raghava narrated me four stories, but we chose the best- NGK. It is a political drama with universal concept. It will have good dialogues, emotional scenes and screenplay. Climax will be biggest highlight,” says he.
It is known that, Telugu director Mahi V Raghva announced to make YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s biopic as Yatra 2. Speculations are rife with the reports that, Suriya is being considered for the film. Reacting to this, Suriya said, “A good team has worked for Yatra. I wasn’t yet approached for Yatra 2. If the script will be appealing, I have no issues to do the film.”
In fact, Suriya was approached for a small role as YS Jagan in Yatra. But, for unknown reasons, he refused to do the film. They changed the script, removing Jagan’s character. Few original footage of Jagan was used. Apparently, Suriya is now keen to do Yatra 2, if director can come up with a good script.

Mega Fans Angry on Dil Raju for Maharshi!
Mega fans are learnt to have been furious over noted producer and distributor Dil Raju. And the reason for mega fans anger is that bloated collections of Maharshi showcased by film's PR team in Nizam area.
Mega Power Star Ram Charan's non BB industry hit Rangasthalam collected Rs.28.75 crores genuine share in Nizam area. Prince Mahesh Babu's Maharshi is said to have collected the genuine share of Rs.22 crores in the territory.
However, the film's hiked collections are shown as Rs.27 crores aiming to beat Rangasthalam full run share through fake numbers. It must be remembered that film's producer Dil Raju, himself, distributed the film in Nizam area. As such, mega fans are angry on the producer whom they felt is the reason for bloated collections of Maharshi.
Maharshi is likely to incur losses in some of the areas. Moreover, the film may fall short of Rs.4 crore to Rs.5 crores to reach break even.

NTR Ghat Incident: 2 Things Observed
Remembering Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on his 96th birth anniversary, Young Tiger Jr NTR visited NTR Ghat on Tankbund in Hyderabad today along with his elder brother Kalyan Ram to pay tribute to the legend. They offered floral tributes to their grandfather.
However, NTR was shocked to see the Ghat which always gets decorated with flowers was not decorated today. He expressed his annoyance at officials for not decorating NTR Ghat. He even refused to speak to the media after coming out of the Ghat.
Many opine it’s the responsibility of Nandamuri family and T TDP leaders to look after decoration and other works. “They should have come early to decorate NTR Ghat. Instead, they behaved as if it was not their responsibility. All it costs in thousands for flowers for the decoration. But, nobody took the responsibility. There’s no meaning in NTR shouting at officials,” opine observers.
The other thing that was observed at NTR Ghat was NTR hasn’t yet recovered fully from the injury. He was seen with wrist band to his right hand. Apparently, he is shooting, despite fully recovered from the injury. NTR immediately left to the shooting spot of his ongoing film RRR with Rajamouli.
The ongoing schedule in Hyderabad will be wrapped up soon and next schedule will commence from next month in Ahmadabad. Ram Charan is the other leading star in RRR.
