Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade released yesterday to mixed response from critics. However, the film is off to huge start at box office. Directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade has collected a day one share of Rs 7.20 crores in Telugu states and 10.72 crores worldwide.
This is biggest ever opener for medium budget films. Dear Comrade had done a worldwide pre release business of Rs 34 crores and the film requires 35 crores to reach breakeven mark. The film has already recovered nearly 30 % of investment on day one itself.

Bhumika ruled the roost of her career during early 2000s. She shared screen space with Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Khushi which was an industry hit then. Besides, Bhumika acted as a female lead in blockbusters like Okkadu and Simhadri.
According to an update, Bhumika has been roped in to play second fiddle in Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Kranthi' (tentative). She will be seen in flashback episode of the movie.

Now, it is coming out that, Dear Comrade story was changed drastically and in the end the film underwent image transformation drastically to assume the current look. In fact Vijay Devarakonda dared to be different and risked a lot while doing Dear Comrade unlike Young Tiger NTR who couldn't do the same after the sensation he created with Aadi.
After NTR's Student No 1, Pavans Sridhar, a new comer planned a film under VMC banner. But when the film was under the shooting, NTR's Aadi released and turned out to be a blockbuster. With NTR getting powerful mass image, the project got shelved as it was a romantic love story and the makers felt that it would not suit NTR's new found mass image after Aadi's sensation. Similarly many films got shelved after Rajamouli created a sensation with NTR with Simhadri.
Even Vijay Devarakonda's Dear Comrade too would have fallen in the same category. Though Bharat Kamma planned to shelve the project, Vijay Devarakonda insisted on going ahead with Dear Comrade.
Actually Dear Comrade was supposed to start after Vijay Devarakonda's Pelli Choopulu. Bharat Kamma narrated Dear Comrade story to Vijay after he loved his performance in Pelli Choopulu. Vijay too promised to do the film as he loved it.
However the project got sidelined as he got busy with other projects. Bharat Kamma however waited patiently. But Arjun Reddy released and turned out to be a blockbuster and with Vijay getting a completely different image, Bharat had doubts on the story.
Inside talk is Bharat initially made Dear Comrade into a heroine oriented film and planned the title Dear Lilly. Bharat revealed that he felt it may not suit Vijay's image but Vijay loved the story and told that the narration should revolve around the lady character and so he decided to do the film. However he made some changes in the story and came with the film Dear Comrade.
Till sometime back senior stars never used to show interest in coming out of their image and break shackles. They used to insist on filmmakers to show them as super heroes. They refused to entertain satires on them, get thrashed by the baddies and heroines dominate them.
But of late heroes are turning liberal. Senior Stars are enjoying self satires on them on screen. They are enjoying satires on their age, getting thrashed and even enjoying heroines dominated.

Youth crazy hero Vijay Deverakonda's Dear Comrade hit the screens on Friday and received mixed responses from the public. It's learnt that the movie got decent openings in the US and collected around $300K through its premiere shows.
Though the premiere shows collections of the film are decent, the makers are reluctant to disclose the collections officially.
"Perhaps, there will be even bigger number of collections if premiere show collections are included with the first day (Friday) collections of the film," opined an observer.
Another observer says, "If any drastic fall of collections are recorded on Friday, addition of premiere show collections ensure the number remains to be big in terms of collections."
As we know, Dear Comrade has done a pre release business Rs.34 crores. The film needs Rs.35 crores world wide share to get a hit status.

Akash continued saying," During Andala Ramudu shooting, Sunil came to me said said 'Chetulu Kaaavu Kaallu anoko bhayya. I will not forget your help in my life. But after the film release, he did not speak about me in the promos and did not release even a poster with my photo. How do I feel when I starred in the film leaving a film in which I was the lead. When he did Nava Vasantham with me, he insulted me. Till that time who used to call me 'Bhayya' started calling me 'Eye Akash'. I was hurt after coming to know the behavior of Sunil. When I asked director why my role was not developed, he told me, Sunil asked him not to do so."
He further said, "My film Ishtapadi which has the potential to succeed at the box office didn't get the release date. My film with Muthyala Subbiah 'Idem Ooru Ra Babu', 'Akasam' directed by Tamil filmmaker Vikrama and 'June July' were stalled. Attempts has been made to crush Me since the past 18 years. They just don't want Me to continue as Hero."

I am scheduled to visit Technicolor’s Pre Production facility and working with digital domain on ‘Hiranyakashyap’.”
In the midst of all this, the question is who is spreading this negative rumours on Rana's ill health. It is known that negative rumours on his ill health and if Rana keeps quite or confirms his ill health, his career will take a beating and many filmmakers backoff from the crazy projects.
