Telugu Films Hits, Flops List 2019 First Quarter Report 2019
The first three months of 2019 elapsed quickly and let us see Tollywood's first quarter report at the box office. Four top stars tested their luck at the box office. While many films which released amidst huge expectations failed, a film which came to create a laughing riot turned out to be a blockbuster. While one film which came up with an old point turned out to be average, another young hero tasted another disappointment.
January:
The year started off with Balakrishna's NTR biopic first part NTR Kathanayakudu on Jan 9th. However the film failed to live up to the expectations. The film grossed only Rs 38 crs leaving the buyers in huge losses. Ram Charan-Boyapati Srinu came with a mass entertainer Vinaya vidheya Rama. Though the film got a huge negative talk right from the first show, it got average collections with Rs 94 crs gross.
Venkatesh, Varun Tej's multi starrer F2-Fun & Frustration left everyone rolling down with laughter and analysts feel that the film is a blockbuster in medium budget films collecting Rs 114 crs gross.
Nagarjuna's son Akhil who teamed with hit director Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema fame for Mr Majnu disappointed once again with the film collecting only Rs 19 crs gross.
February:
February witnessed political flavor. Former CM YSR's Yatra with Mammootty in lead under Mahvi V Raghav's direction which released on Feb 8th turned out to be an average grosser with Rs 10 crs collections. Small budget film Mithai with Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi turned out to be a disaster at the box office. NTR biopic's second part NTR Mahanayakudu which released on Feb 22nd turned out to be the biggest disaster leaving all shell-shocked.
March:
Kalyan Ram tested his luck with 118. Though the concept turned out to be routine, the film turned out to be an above average grosser with Rs 14 crs collection. Ram Gopal Varma's controversial film Lakshmi's NTR hit the screens across the world except in Andhra Pradesh amidst huge opposition. The film got stunning openings but slow pace narration and over dramatization disappointed the viewers.
Niharika's Suryakantham which highlighted the thought process of a young woman, failed to attract movie lovers. Others like Where is Venkatalakshmi, Cheekati Gadilo Chitakkottudu, Jessie though generated interest with their teasers and trailers, failed to bring movie lovers to theatres.

Actress Pregnant Before Marriage!
Actress Amy Jackson announced that she is pregnant. She posted a delectable photo of herself and her fiancé George Panayiotou with a caption that read, “I’ve been waiting to shout it from the roof tops, and today, being Mother’s Day couldn’t be more perfect… I already love you more than anything in this world, the purest most honest love. The pregnancy announcement comes a few months after her engagement with George. Amy got engaged to George Panayiotou on New Year eve. Natasimha Balakrishna is notorious for attacking whoever irritates him. Though many times his attacking acts went viral, his supporters claimed that his fans love him slapping them.
Balakrishna too never tried to mend his ways and behaved as though it is his display of macho power in real life. Balakrishna couple of days back attacked a journalist and threatened to kill him using obscene words.

Analysis: TDP-JSP Gossip Advantage to JSP
Hitherto, it was reported how TDP and Janasena's alliance was merely a hearsay and it was the mind game being played by both TDP and YSRCP on Janasena. Indubitably, Janasena chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan is rubbishing these speculations in his road shows. Yet, the gossip turned deep rooted now and most of the people are trusting this rumour.
In such case, what will be the fate of Janasena in the poll battle? Political analysts and psephologists affirmed that this mind game of TDP and YCP on Janasena would turn a bless in disguise to Janasena for sure. They stand by their analyses with the following assertions.

Apparently, there is a dire need representatives of Guinness Book of World Records to induct Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's rarest of the rare record. As of now, Balayya slapped innumerable fans, TDP's workers and even journalists during his public appearances. Lakshmis NTR Surpasses NTR Collections
If it was any other director in Ram Gopal Varma’s place, he would have certainly postponed his film. That’s why RGV is different from any other filmmaker. When AP High Court ordered stay on release of his Lakshmi’s NTR in Andhra Pradesh, RGV didn’t hesitate to release the film in all other places.
The film made on limited resources is turning out as a super duper hit. Interestingly, Lakshmi’s NTR collected better to NTR Biopic in X Roads on day one. While the RGV directed film minted 6,42,016 gross on day one, NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu raked 6,28,937 and 1,60,641 gross from its main theaters on opening day.
The film premiered in 125 screens on Thursday collected $90,214 at the US box office. The word of mouth boosted its collection on Friday. As per early trends, the film has minted $55,714 on Friday, taking its total collection to $145,928.
Lakshmi's NTR had good advance booking in Telangana, Karnataka and other parts of India, where it has opened to fantastic response on Friday. The movie started on a good note in the morning shows and the positive buzz boosted its business in the later shows.
As per trade reports, Lakshmi’s NTR collected a day one share of Rs 72 lakhs in Nizam, which is a great start.

Reasons: Why TDP-Janasena Alliance a Silly Gossip?
In what could be said a remarkable change in political system of India in the recent past is that voters have been enlightened to the apogee of their standards. Most of them are not in a position to believe in any hearsay being mushroomed by the political parties.
Coming to the point, the birds eye view of AP politics betokens that it would be a triangular combat among three political parties TDP, Janasena and YSRCP. Notwithstanding, an interesting gossip is being spread by both TDP and YCP on Janasena. While YCP's head YS Jagan and his Sakshi media allege that Janasena has a secret pact with TDP and the latter too has kept stoic silence on the buzz hinting that if there is really a secret tie up lies between JSP and TDP.
Political analysts and of course, Janasena loyalists, nonetheless, rubbished the speculations of JSP and TDP alliance. According to them, only innocent people believe in such gossips. Yet, they cited following instances for the awareness of people who are innocently trusting the cooked up stories of JSP's rival parties and their media.
* TDP desperately tried for the alliance of Janasena, CPI, CPM and BSP. With their dismay, none of the parties has shown interest in allying with the TDP. As such, TDP is contesting in all 175 assembly constituencies. Had it really collaborated with JSP, TDP could have left many constituencies nor it could have fielded weak contestants. But then, nothing of that sort was happened.
* Had there been a tie up between JSP and TDP, yellow media could have given coverage on Janasena extensively.
* TDP's top leader SPY Reddy leader defected and joined Janasena. TDP's top leaders gravely tried SPY Reddy not to contest on JSP's ticket. They even offered MLC ticket. But then, SPY skipped from such offers as he might have understood TDP would become a sinking ship.
* TDP forced Guntur municipal authorities to remove JSP's flexes in the city. On the other hand, stage was not allotted for Pawan Kalyan in Ananthapur public meet.

One of the oldest techniques of politicians is to criticise a politician and to join the politician's rival political party. It seems YSRCP is adopting the same old strategy even in this modern era.
Two days ago, actor Mohan Babu resorted to an agitation against TDP for not being paid the tuition fee reimbursement to students of Sri Vidya Nikethan Educational Institutions. Mohan Babu took potshots at Chandrababu Naidu then. Having gone through his protests, innocent people believed that it was a genuine agitation of Mohan Babu. Strangely, Mohan Babu joined YSRCP the very next day.
And recently, faded out writer Chinnikrishna abused Megastar Chiranjeevi and Power Star Pawan Kalyan. He told innumerable lies on them. Hearing his words, some people innocently trusted he was right. Of course, most of the people understood he was a liar. Interestingly, Chinnikrishna joined YSRCP on Wednesday.
Chinnikrishna joining YSRCP through this age old strategy is not questioned by anybody. But then, Mohan Babu, who has got good stature, should not have exhibited such cheap attitude.
